1. What YourBen.ch Is

YourBen.ch provides a quiet space for private reflection and conversation. It's a place to think out loud without judgment, advice, or fixing.

YourBen.ch is not:

• Therapy or mental health treatment
• Medical advice or crisis intervention
• A substitute for professional help
• An emergency service

2. Beta Service

YourBen.ch is currently in beta. This means:

• The service may be unavailable at times
• Features may change without notice
• We're actively improving based on feedback
• Things might break (we'll fix them)

We provide the service "as is" during beta, with no guarantees of perfect uptime or functionality.

3. Your Account

To use YourBen.ch, you need an account. You agree to:

• Provide a valid email address
• Keep your login information secure
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us if your account is compromised

You're responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Your Conversations

What you share in your space stays private. We don't claim ownership of your conversations.

However, you grant us permission to:

• Process your conversations to provide the service
• Store conversation fragments (brief contextual snapshots) for continuity
• Display relevant context back to you when you return

Important privacy feature: We do not store complete conversation histories. Full conversations are purged after processing, and only minimal fragments are retained for context.

We will not share, sell, or use your conversation data for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Acceptable Use

YourBen.ch is for personal reflection. You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal activities
• Attempt to hack or disrupt the service
• Share content that violates others' rights
• Abuse or harass others (if we add community features)
• Scrape or extract data without permission

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Privacy and Data

Your privacy matters. We:

• Store your data in Switzerland
• Protect it under Swiss data protection law
• Never sell your information
• Don't use your conversations for commercial purposes

7. Intellectual Property

The YourBen.ch service, design, and brand are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not:

• Copy or reproduce the service
• Use our name or branding without permission
• Reverse engineer the service

8. Limitation of Liability

YourBen.ch is provided "as is" during beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We make no warranties about the service
• We're not liable for service interruptions
• We're not responsible for decisions you make based on conversations
• Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid (currently: nothing)

Important: If you're in crisis or need urgent help, contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. YourBen.ch is not an emergency service.

9. Changes to Service

During beta, we may:

• Modify features
• Add or remove functionality
• Change pricing (when we leave beta)
• Pause or discontinue the service

We'll communicate significant changes via email when possible.

10. Termination

You can close your account anytime. Your data will be deleted within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these terms
• Pose security risks
• Abuse the service

11. Swiss Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be resolved in Swiss courts.

If you're outside Switzerland, you agree to Swiss jurisdiction by using this service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as YourBen.ch evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email.

Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

13. Beta Pricing

YourBen.ch is currently free during beta. When we introduce pricing:

• Beta users will receive advance notice
• You can choose whether to continue
• Early users may receive special pricing

We welcome your feedback during beta. If you share suggestions or ideas, you grant us permission to use them to improve YourBen.ch.
